Creating Good Vibes in Your Daily Life

Are you feeling there is no way out of the tunnel, no way out of the box you have created for yourself?  Have you been working on yourself but see little results?  Does life seem too much to handle at times?

Many times, we think we have it all figured out. Some of us have tried and tried and tried and still aren’t getting the results we want. So, we settle for what we feel is our lot in life. Many of us have taken tons of seminars and workshops getting all hyped up only to come home and feel let down, as we have been unable to hold onto the vibrations we felt during that time. Here’s the thing. When we are around other like-minded folks, all seeking to improve our lives, it is easy to have a good vibration. But how do we keep it once back to our daily routine?

One way is to shift our perceptions. How I do this is to listen to myself and what I am thinking or saying. As more studies on sound and vibration are telling us everything we think and say carries a certain vibe. This vibe really does affect our surroundings.

Have you ever stopped and listened to what you are saying to yourself or about yourself? Do you allow others to affect your mood? Perhaps you are an Empath absorbing others vibrations. Trust me when I say you can change all of this. All you need to do is to become more conscious of your mind and what it is doing. Listen to what you are saying about yourself and get rid self-limiting beliefs. My new thing is, “How is this thought serving me?” If it is not, I change it. YES! It is that simple.

We all have control over our thinking. It is the one true thing we have control over. We can choose our thoughts at any given time. This is how I began my journey to self-empowerment and inner healing.

In 1991, I had already lived through the dark night of the soul and came out on the other side. It was a long a difficult journey, but I survived. I know that journey has made who I am today. Once I had re-birthed myself I began the journey of learning how to love ME and my inner child. Today, I teach others to do this by showing them how to “Become their own best friend.” When you hear yourself being mean or self-defeating you can say, “Would I talk to a friend this way?” If the answer is no, then change the language. It’s quite simple. I know this may sound crazy but try it, it works! When I hear myself comparing or worrying, I pretend I am a friend and I ask myself questions. I say things like, “What good will worrying do? What would you like to think of instead?” Then I think, “Hmmm, what WOULD I like?” I get excited about new ideas and raise the vibration within myself. Then I make a list in my head or write it down.

In the beginning I could not visualize very well. I am more of a feeler healer. So, I would think about the type of vibrations I wanted to feel every day. I knew I wanted to feel goodness, joy, love, abundant and so on. Then I would think about places I wanted travel or products I wanted to create. Every time my mind wanted to talk to me “realistically” I allowed my inner child to dream, play, and make up her life! It worked. She eventually won. I am living a fantastic, creative, joyful, abundant life. And when things don’t work out I know there is a reason. I trust the next great thing is just around the corner for me.

Did you know it is easier to create a negative thought than it is a positive one? Crazy, right? But it is true. Try it! All day today (and everyday here after) try to just think positive and see what your mind does. You can laugh when the mind gets freaked out or tries to control you with negativity. Help it to overcome itself. I like to play with my mind and my imagination and see what I can create. Since I have been doing this for years now it’s much easier than it used to be. In the beginning, it was very challenging. The mind always won! But like everything, practice makes perfect. So, I encourage you to explore this concept. Use your mind as a creative platform to manifest the life of your dreams!

For years, I wanted to have my own positive affirmation oracle card deck since I had received so much help in the early 90’s from people like Doreen Virtue and Louise Hays and their books and decks. Well, it finally happened! After 2 years of working alongside my daughter Victoria Craven the dream came true! I manifested the “Good Vibes” Positive affirmation deck! Unbelievable, right? It wasn’t easy for sure but it was well worth the effort.

Things happen. I am not always on cloud 9. The difference is I no longer dwell in the past or ruminate over something that is not working out. Today I practice non-attachment. This is something I learned from my teacher Alberto Villoldo and the Four Winds Society. My initiation into Shamanism from them was the place I finally found my own sense of spirituality. A Shaman is a conduit between the physical word and spiritual world. I used what they taught me along with downloads from spirit to create my own practice. I opened the Orange County Healing Center in 2009 and began seeing clients. This eventually turned into leading groups around the world and teaching privately to those who wanted to learn the power of Shamanism. In 2017 I will begin my new adventure, to teach others how to use my “Good Vibes” deck in their daily practice of mediation and mindfulness. I still cannot believe the decks are complete and here waiting to be sold! It’s a dream come true. I have come so far in my life and although I still have things I am working on within myself, my life has never been more beautiful. I am honored The Temple of Light OC asked me to start the new year off with a cover and this article. I am currently in Hawaii with my daughter celebrating her 25th birthday and the birth of our deck! Writing this to you all has brought me much joy but it’s time to hit the beach and soak up the sun!

  • Create a fire in your heart and burn away the old energy.
  • Focus your thoughts on the type of energy you wish your heart to vibrate.
  • In your mind, fill your body with the shimmering light of the Hunter’s moon, allowing it to flow in through the top of your head and through your higher self.
  • Fill your body with this light and vibrate at the highest frequency possible.
  • Connect with the collective consciousness & positive vibes all over the earth!

3 Easy Steps to Mastering your Mind


Many people are still battling their minds. If you are one of these people you are not alone. Most of us were not taught to be positive, we were taught to worry. Old belief patterns (mistakes…regrets…fears…life in general) creates imprints in our mind. Once we get started it can be hard to dig our way out of the rabbit hole. The thing is YOU are the only one who controls your mind and you have the power to change it. You are the only one who can change it.

It takes practice, but with time you can become the master of your mind.

Below, I have created 3 easy steps to guide you. Do these steps daily and watch how quickly you can identify a thought before it overtakes you. The more you do this the easier it becomes. Then, there will come a time when you will hear the negative thought or worry as it is just entering the mind and you will have the power to shift it.

1. “Look at the bright side” – Become the watcher of your thoughts and if they’re not positive, gently guide yourself into a more uplifting conversation.

2. “Take a moment” – Listen to your thoughts as if you were your own best friend. When the thoughts are running wild, breathe in and out slowly. Give yourself a pep talk.

3. “Creative imagery” – Imagine your mind is like a playground. Create images or ideas that make you feel good.

Do this for 21 days straight. It takes time to create a new habit.  Retrain and master your mind today, then watch your whole world change!

When you hear the word relationship what is the first thing you think of?
The relationship you are in with another. The man or woman you are with, or trying to manifest, your family, your friends or your relationship to the world and all of it creations?

Do you ever contemplate the relationship to yourself?
Have you ever tuned into exploring the idea of how to create a lasting relationship with yourself,to the spirit within? A relationship that will never leave you, for it is with you all the time? This is the most important relationship of all. A relationship with your higher self equals a relationship to spirit.

Now ask yourself, have I ever really sat down and thought about my relationship to myself? Am I looking within and thinking about creating a lasting healthy relationship to myself? Or am I running around unconscious?
You may think, “What self do I need to have a strong relationship with? The thinking self? The one that is attached to the mind? Or the one in my heart & soul, the relationship with my higher self, my spirit?

We may mediate, tune in and ask how we are doing, but for the most part we are too busy taking care of everyone else. So we do not put much effort forth into actualizing what messages we were given during the meditation. Or if we are working at it, and we get it, it’s only for a fleeting moment. How do we tap into it when we are not in meditation, how do we keep that feeling all day long?
Some of us are always working on having a better relationship with others, striving toward feeling more connected, but this is not the answer. Have you ever stopped to think, “Will I have more meaningful relationships with others, if I cultivate a relationship within myself?” I say yes! This is the key! The key to opening up and having a strong relationship with self is the way to become more connected to others.
This connection to self will support us like no other relationship we have ever had.

Some may ask, “How do I have a healthy relationship with myself? Many of us do not know where to start. We are so used to taking care of others the idea of taking care of ourselves is foreign. Or some of us have been so selfish in the past we think, “ Well, I take care of myself all the time I have no problem in that area.
I am not talking about the mind. I am talking about something deeper. I am talking about the kind of self-love, self-care that only you can give to yourself. The deep knowing that you are divinely guided. A stronger sense of self, one that your higher self is waiting to give you at all times, if only you would were to ask. Stay out of your mind and receive. Remember you are not your mind you are spirit.
Just be…leave yourself alone…get out of your own way.
Now you may think, “Well that’s what they all say. It is easier said than done!”
The mind will always want to come in and want to control. That is its job. It is your job to be aware. Awareness is the solution to creating change. Being aware when the mind comes in and softly thanking it for sharing, then tuning into your higher self, your higher thoughts and changing your vibration. This is the first step.

If we truly begin to connect to ourselves we will have a fuller richer experience with those around us. We will be able to connect at a deeper level with spirit for as we all know spirit is not outside of ourselves it comes from within.
While guiding my group to the ancient ruins of Peru we had incredible awakenings, truths & realizations of who we were in relationship to those around us, seen and unseen. Spirit orbs were everywhere. They kept materializing in our photos.
Looking back as I write this article I see they were trying to tell us something. In my opinion they were showing themselves to us so we could see what lives inside of each of us. We are all bright shinny orbs. Spiritual beings.

If this is the type of light we all have inside of us, let us all cultivate it. Make it feel we are here for it to be made manifest through us. We are pure love. Whether or not we feel it, we are. Stay connected to that part of yourself. Remember who you are. You are this ball of light.
Spend a few moments everyday connecting with that true self that inner God or Goddess that dwells in your temple, your body. Become conscious of what you say, eat, spend your time doing. Smile, relax, find ease and grace in everything you do.

When you find your mind wandering off in a negative direction gently bring it back and remind yourself you are love, you are spirit. All things come to you effortlessly and easily. Vibrate at the highest frequency possible, and connect. Connect to the flowers and the trees the animals, and others, but most of all remember to connect to yourself. Right here, Right now, close your eyes. Drink in the true beautiful essence of who you are and what you true purpose is here. This is a time of great awakenings. Be conscious of it and transform your life.
