Attitude of Gratitude: Living a Mindful Life

Hello Tribe,

My latest radio show was a blast. My good friend She-She asked me to be on her International Angels network last week and I agreed. I felt discussing an attitude of gratitude and how to live a mindful life would be a great way to start the New Year. We discussed many tips on how to stay grateful and mindful in the moment. She-She mentioned how being “mindful” is actually being “mindless”. What an interesting concept right? How to be mindless and mindful at the same time? I can break it down like this. As I become more conscious and aware of my life I become more mindful. Then, as I become mindless, I am actually less focused on the negative world around me, my thoughts, my past and then I am truly letting go. I play with these ideas and concepts and learn how not to be attached. Practicing non-attachment is a wonderful way to let go. I breathe in light and breathe out love and trust that the universe has my back.

I cannot express how much fun I had at the end of the show. We did readings and mini healings for those listeners who called in. It was so fun to help people on the spot from all over the nation. There are lots of great tips and a light filled mediation at the end.

Happy April!

Happy April! I feel this month is going to be a high energy month. Mercury goes retro April 9th-May 3 so use this time to get yourself moving and create or finish projects. My mother always said, “Dear, when Mercury goes retrograde take a breath at the stop light before hitting the gas”. I have taken this advice to heart and when the light changes I breathe. Many times I’ve seen a car coming in the other direction run the light. If I had not waited and breathed they would have hit me.

“Take time to move consciously through your day and you will find happiness all around you.”

At the moment I am writing to you from Sedona. Beautiful red rock mountains, birds eating from my friends feeder and hummingbirds flying about. I flew up to help a friend move home. My friend took me to a metaphysical store in Scottsdale called “A Peace of the Universe.”

It’s a little store nestled in the corner of a large mall type structure. Many of the stores are abandoned. The previous owner was there and told us the land was on an ancient Indian burial ground and only those with a high vibe were allowed to stay. The new owner Drew ordered 10 decks to sell and I taught them the “Wake-up” song I learned in Ibiza, Spain. What an incredible moment in time.

Many of my clients have had healings with me all over the world. In this way they became part of the grid work, balancing the masculine and feminine energies, which is so much a part of what I do.

Techniques for Stopping Mind ChatterA great way to shift your consciousness when your mind is running and you can’t get out of your head, is just repeat the word ‘LOVE over and over until you no longer hear the mind chatter. Breathe and repeat until the mind is clear. This works well when the mind is overwhelmed with thought, causing you anxiety. I like to ask myself, “Does this thought serve me?” If it doesn’t serve you, it’s wasting your energy — and that’s energy that could be used to create something beautiful! Today, listen to your mind and see how you can shift.
